First United Methodist Church has an outstanding music ministry. Our ministries with children, youth, and their families are excellent. Sunday School classes for all ages, from preschool through adults, offer the finest in teaching and fellowship. Our outreach is not limited to members or visitors to our church; we have an expanding mission to the local community and the world.

In addition to our regularly-scheduled programs and worship, we have many opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship during the year. Information about those events can be found in our bi-weekly newspaper, FUMC Hurst News, weekly e-newsletter, announcements in the weekly worship bulletin, and newsletters and other publications by our various ministries and other small groups.
