Compañeros en Cristo (Companions in Christ)

Companions in Christ is part of the Hispanic ministry of FUMC Hurst. Our Sunday study is based on the Word of God and done entirely in Spanish. We are now conducting a study of Israel’s return from exile and the reconstruction of the walls of Jerusalem. It is based in the Old Testament book of Nehemiah. Jerusalem is a figure of our soul and spirit, collapsed and devastated by daily life.

We have experienced unity in one body that is in Christ Jesus, strengthening our faith, love and hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit, supporting one another in prayer. In this way Christ helps us to face the challenges that are presented to us day by day, developing the call to serve in the ministry of the Kingdom of God, with an attitude of a disciple, to be formed, to learn, and to let ourselves be taught.

In addition, we also hold some cultural celebrations, working as a team together and united.

Compañeros en Cristo es parte del ministerio Hispano de FUMC Hurst. Nuestro estudio dominical está basado en la Palabra de Dios, y hecha completamente en español. Ahora estamos llevando a cabo un estudio del regreso de Israel del exilio y la reconstrucción de los muros de Jerusalén. Está basado en el libro de Nehemías, del Antiguo Testamento. Jerusalén es una figura de nuestra alma y espíritu, derrumbadas y devastadas por la vida diaria.

Hemos experimentado la unidad en un solo cuerpo que es en Cristo Jesús, fortaleciendo nuestra fe, amor y esperanza, en el poder del Espíritu Santo, apoyándonos en oración unos a otros. Así nos ayuda a enfrentar los desafíos que se nos presentan día con día, desarrollando el llamado a servir en el ministerio del Reino de Dios, con una actitud de discípulo, para ser formado, para aprender, y dejarse ser ensenados.

Además, también llevamos a cabo algunas celebraciones culturales, trabando como un equipo juntos y unidos.
